Exhibiting at World Art Dubai: Where the World’s Art Comes Together
Updated: May 2
I recently had the amazing experience of exhibiting my fine art photography at World Art Dubai, the epic art fair hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 8th to March 12th. This year's event was a huge success with a record-breaking number of 10,000 visitors, over 50 workshops and activations with industry experts, and over 300 exhibitors showcasing 4,000 artworks from 60 countries around the world.
Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, opened the 9th edition of World Art Dubai, and Korea was the Guest of Honor, showcasing the country's vibrant art scene through various forms, including a traditional Hanbok fashion show, tea-tasting ceremony, and cultural performances.
Experiencing World Art Dubai as an attendee
Attendees were treated to a non-stop experience of experiential art activations and engaging live art performances, curated art talks, and creative workshops. Art lovers were able to personalize their experience at World Art Dubai and enjoy the fair in the best way possible by taking in all of the immersive art and culture.
In addition, the event included an expanded dedicated area for street art lovers, with live street art activation, graffiti, freestyle dances, music, and so much more.
My experience at World Art Dubai as an artist
I exhibited special edition circular prints and was honored to be selected by the event’s curators to present my ‘Radio Soho’ artwork on the stage as part of the Art Walk.
In addition, I was featured on the World Art Dubai Instagram account, where they had these beautiful words to say about my work:
“Maja Kerin’s art is a breathtaking fusion of nature and imagination, brought to life through vibrant colours and intricate details. Her unique style draws inspiration from the natural world, weaving together elements of flora and fauna with a touch of whimsy and wonder.”
World Art Dubai: An unforgettable adventure
World Art Dubai truly was an incredible experience, and as someone who lives and breathes the wonderful world of art, I was well and truly in my happy place. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who showed their support as part of this event.
10% of the proceeds from my WAD sales will be donated to Love Generation CIC - a charity that’s close to my heart and does incredible work in enhancing the education of young children in Senegal.
